5 Tips and Tricks to starting a You Tube channel or Blog

Hey everybody I'm back! Recently I joined the blogger sorority and am so excited to get to work with them! I wanted to do this post because in case any of you have a blog and wanted to start a You Tube channel and didn't know how to, you can find some tips in this post! I hope you enjoy this post and make sure to click on the link to the Blogger Sorority!

Tip #1: Shake the hate off

This tip goes for pretty much anything you do in life, shake the hate off. This is key in doing a blog or You Tube because you can't let negative comments get to you, you just have to go on with your blog or You Tube and not worry about it!

Tip #2: Cover Photos/Thumbnails

When it comes to thumbnails on You Tube I like to use a free photo editing program called PicMonkey. It lets you upload your pictures to it and you can label and even put little stickers on it!

Tip #3: Choose your background music

If you are doing a DIY it is important you have the right background music and voice over for it.
For background ,music I recommend going to Audio Jungle to buy it there. They have tons of  different ones you can pick. Also, if you do have music in your video be sure to write in the description box who the artist is and what song it is!

Tip #4 : Choose your editing system

The editing system I have is Wonder Share it's a very good editing system I bought it for $40.00 but there is also a free one. The only problem I've had with Wonder Share is that if you have an older computer it may work slower than usual. If you have an apple computer that already has iMovie on it I recommend using that!

Tip#5 Make sure you have time
This is very important for when you have a blog or a channel. You always need to plan a day and time of when you are going to post a video or blog post.

I hope these 5 tips have helped you! If  if you have any questions feel free to comment below or dm on Instagram! ( at sweetly_southernblog)

Christmas Wishlist Top 5

These are some things that made it onto the top of my Christmas Wish list!

1. Monogram Necklace from Marley Lilly

Acrylic Monogrammed Necklace
I love monograms a lot so I really wanted a monogrammed necklace, my mom has one that I have always loved and found this one for less!

2. Lilly Pulitzer Agenda Tusk in Sun

17 Month Large Agenda, Tusk In Sun - Navy
Lilly Pulitzer is one of favorite shops to buy things at. I've always loved their agenda's because the prints are so pretty and also because these agenda's go from August 2015 to December 2016! So, if you're looking for a new agenda I highly recommend you get a Lilly Pulitzer agenda.

3. Jadelynn Brooke Shirts

Jadelynn Brooke is one of my most favorite companies. Their shirts are so cute and soft and Jade, Lexi Lynn, and Brooke are all so nice, so they are definitely one of my favorite companies.

4. Lilly Pulitzer Phone Case
Multi Oh Shello Tech

As you can tell I love Lilly Pulitzer so this was definitely a must on my list. Plus I love this pattern!

DIY State Artwork

This was one of my favorite DIY's I have ever done! Its so easy and it looks amazing when you hang it up in a frame. So, here is how I did it, I hope you enjoy!

Supplies you'll need

- Scissors
- Scrapbook Paper
- Hot glue gun
- Computer
- Pencil
-Frame
- Sequin (optional)

Step 1: On your computer pull up an outline of the state where you live. (In my case its Florida)

Step 2: Take a sheet of scrapbook paper and put it on top of your computer screen.

Step 3: Take a pencil and start to trace the outline of your state

Step 4: After tracing take scissors and start to cut out your state.

Step 5: When you are done cutting out your state take another sheet of scrapbook paper ad hot glue your state onto your other sheet of scrapbook paper. This part is optional but I think it adds a little personality to your state. Take any colored sequin and hot glue it onto the area you live in.

Step 6: This is the final step! (Yay!!) The last thing you have to do is pop your beauuutiful masterpiece in a frame and your done!

Thank you for reading! I hope you enjoyed this DIY as much as I did and I will see you next time!
